R290 Gas

R290, also known as Propane, is used as a new generation gas in place of R22, R502, and R404a. Due to its low global warming potential (GWP), it is considered a highly flammable but environmentally friendly gas. These gases are widely used in heat pumps.

Applications

R290 gas is increasingly used in various applications such as industrial-type refrigerators, supermarket refrigerators, and ice cream displays. Its use in central system air conditioners is still under research and development. In Europe, flammable gases like R290 are preferred over Freon gases, which are being phased out due to their harmful environmental effects.

Is R290 a Blend or Pure Gas?

R290 is a pure gas and does not contain any blend of gases.

Stacking Methods

Our company offers R290 gas in various stacking methods. R290 is available in 1 Liter, 12 Liter (Net 4.4 KG), 61 Liter (Net 22 KG), 1000 Liter (Net 390 KG), and 22000 Liter (10,000 KG) cylinders. For 12 Liter cylinders, we have both dip-tube and non-dip-tube versions. For systems where liquid R290 gas needs to be injected, non-dip-tube cylinders must be inverted, while dip-tube cylinders should be positioned upright. Directional labels on dip-tube cylinders should be carefully examined before use.
