Description
Usage Areas
R134a gas is widely used in car air conditioning systems. This non-flammable gas is used in vehicle air conditioners and household refrigerators. Additionally, R134a is also utilized as a blowing agent in the manufacture of XPS (Extruded Polystyrene Foam). Particularly favored in the automotive spare parts sector, R134a has been phased out since 2021 in favor of new generation gases. These new generation car air conditioning gases are used to reduce environmental damage and unlike R134a, are flammable.
Is R134a a Blend or a Pure Gas?
R134a gas is a pure gas and contains no mixtures. Therefore, it consists of 100% R134a gas.
Stacking Methods
At Tura Air Conditioning, we offer R134a gas in various stacking methods. This gas is available in cylinders of 12 liters (Net 12 KG), 61 liters (Net 61 KG), 1000 liters (Net 900 KG), and 22000 liters (Net 22,000 KG). Our 12-liter cylinders are available with and without dip tubes. In cylinders without dip tubes, the cylinder must be inverted to inject liquid R134a gas into the system, whereas in cylinders with dip tubes, they should be positioned upright when injecting liquid into the system. The guiding marks on dip-tube cylinders should be carefully inspected before use to ensure correct application.

Properties of R134a air conditioning gas
R134a is a preferred refrigerant for automotive and home air conditioning systems and stands out with its many advantages.
- Low Toxicity: R134a is not harmful to human health and has a low toxicity level. This feature expands its areas of use and ensures that it can be used safely in daily life.
- Ozone Friendly: It does not harm the ozone layer and is an environmentally friendly alternative. This feature minimizes the negative effects on the environment and offers sustainable solutions.
- High Performance: R134a has a high cooling capacity and offers a higher COP (Coefficient of Performance) compared to other refrigerants. This means energy efficiency and effective cooling capacity.
- High Pressure: It is specially designed for systems requiring high pressure, thus providing effective performance even in difficult applications.
- Low Flammability: It has a low flammability feature compared to some other refrigerants. This feature reduces possible risks during use and increases general safety.
- Compatibility: Unlike other refrigerants, R134a can be used in compatibility with various oils. This facilitates maintenance and repair operations in air conditioning systems.
Is R134A gas banned?
The use of R134a gas is not prohibited. Instead of R134a gas, more environmentally friendly R600a and R1234yf gases have begun to be used. The difference between these two gases used instead of R134a gas is entirely related to the area of use.
Is R134A flammable?
R134a gas is not a flammable gas.
Why is R134a gas used in cars?
Car air conditioning systems are designed to provide comfort for the driver and passengers by reducing the temperature inside the vehicle. The R134a gas used in these systems is considered a first-class refrigerant in the automotive industry due to its cooling properties. R134a stands out for its high energy efficiency and low environmental impact, making it a popular choice in car air conditioning systems.
